Rona Taylor-Smith

Programme Manager

Rona has committed her career to teaching and learning, wherever she can support people to attain goals through building their skills and confidence.  Her interactiosn with learners encompasses student support, programme leadership, foundation studies, diploma, undergraduate levels and workplace tutoring.  She has been with Aspire2 Workplace Communication since 2020 as a tutor, resource developer and now as a Programme Manager.

As a strong advocate for life-long learning, Rona has a Master of Professional Business Studies (2009), a Postgraduate Certificate in Applied Practice, Digital (2018) and completed the NZ Certificate in Literacy and Numeracy Education (Vocational Workplace) in 2022.  Her commitment to supporting Māori and Pacifica learners is underpinned by further education and practice.

My greatest thrill is going into a workplace and making a difference for the learners and the clients.  Nothing beats Week Three of a course when changes in behaviour start to take place and you can see learners build confidence and skills.”
