We are the largest workplace literacy provider in New Zealand, fully government funded for eligible employees. We’ve been in operation for over 20 years. Aspire2 Business is part of the Aspire2 Group. Our programme helps your staff – and your business - work more efficiently, safely, and often more profitably.
Our programmes are delivered at your premises at a time that suits you and your employees. The content is customised to your business and focused on your staff work environment, rather than a generic, one-size-fits-all lecture style. We’ll carefully analyse your employees’ needs, so training is specific and to the point for each learner.
The 40 plus hour programme is delivered over 10 plus weeks, to groups of up to eight learners. We use your in-house documents and processes as a resource for our training, and set clear and measurable programme goals for each learner.

Aspire2 Business tutors are from a variety of business backgrounds, but are all experts in adult learning and literacy. We hand-select the tutor that will be the best fit for your team and for your business.
Yes, whatever suits you best. We’ll work with you to make the logistics as simple as possible.
Our average group size is eight. If you’d like to enrol more team members, we can run multiple programmes onsite simultaneously.
Yes, all of our programmes are customised to suit your business goals and the needs of your team.
All Aspire2 Business | Workplace Communication programmes are built around your business. Before the programme starts, we meet with owners, managers, team leaders and other key stakeholders to get a good understanding of your industry and business, your goals and specific issues.
Our funded workplace programme is not specifically aimed at leadership development, although many of the topics covered are useful as a foundation for leadership. This could include active listening, running team meetings and giving effective instructions.
If one of your staff leaves, we can remove them from the programme, but their progress will need to be assessed first.
If you know your staff have annual leave planned, let us know before the programme starts so we can see how we can accommodate them.
There is no passing or failing. Our programmes are designed to support and guide learners to improve in their roles, regardless of where they start, or what progress they make.
There are two assessments, each with their own purpose.
Before they begin, each learner will be assessed, so we can design a programme that’s at the right level.
The learners are assessed again at the end of the programme, to track progress and highlight areas that could be further improved.
Training is delivered at your premises. If your workplace has no suitable training room, you’ll need to arrange for an alternative.
There is no homework, although each learner will be asked to apply their new knowledge and skills. This will help embed their learning.
Their tutor will also point them towards other resources and tools that could be useful.
Each session is hands-on and interactive, with tasks and activities that relate strongly to your team’s day-to-day work.
Your people will have to complete between 40 and 80 hours of training, plus assessments and a graduation ceremony. This training time is crucial to get results for your team and business. The programme duration will be dependent on your business needs and the level of your people.
The programme can be run in two plus hour blocks depending on what works best for your business. Our Business Development Manager and Account Managers will discuss this with you.
